Sea Glass Beach Okinawa Japan Well my New Year's resolution was to reopen my etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/myjoybymichelle) and well it is open and running nicely.  I have been listing both pendants and loose sea glass. I have had lots of fun working on on the pieces. Building all the pieces is the easy part then you have to take pictures of EVERYTHING. Don't get me wrong I love taking pictures. . . of the ocean. . . but sitting in a chair taking pictures of a pendant is not as much fun. Sea Glass Pendant   Well my New Years resolution this year was to get my Etsy store back up and running. In the past I have made purses, bags, kids items and I think I did okay for just starting out. I really liked having an Etsy store and when we moved to Okinawa it got harder to keep up with it since I didn't have Joann Fabrics right around the corner. I took a little break and enjoyed the island life. My friend Lana and I and our kids spent a lot of time at the beach collecting sea glass and it go to the point that well I have a TON. So I have opened up my Etsy store again with my main feature being sea glass pendants. I will be making some bags and other items as well but the main focus will be sea glass. 

So it has been a while and I now live on the beautiful island of Okinawa, Japan. I have been blessed with some amazing friends here and this year for Christmas I made us all quilts since we had our gift exchange today I can now post pictures of our awesome quilts. We will all be able to look at these and remember the times we had on this wonderful island. My friend Marisa will be leaving us soon to go back to the states so I really wanted to give her a good going away gift but fell in love with it and had to make one for our friend Lana and myself as well.

Well I have been working on putting together a superhero birthday for my son. He wanted a Superman and Batman party and I couldn't find anything superman so that sends me to the craft table. I have been making capes for all the kids the last few weeks and today got the cups made. So the party is coming together nicely.

I have been staying with my folks while my hubby is overseas so the kids can have some nana and papa time. So mom has a group of ladies that come over every now and then to sew for charity great right well they are coming over tomorrow to sew children's quilts. So today I thought I would give my smelly dog a bath so everyone would be happy plus mom got her carpet cleaned today. Anyway I wash him up really well and stick him in the dog yard so he can dry and what do I get for all my hard work he goes and rolls in the dirt while he is still wet!!!!!!!!

So I was yard sail-ing with my MIL last weekend and came across these Super Heroes in need of a home. Anyone know where I can find Superman?? I have looked in a few stores and have yet to find him. Did he go back to his fortress of solitude? Superman you need to come back by Sep. you have to make an appearance and A's birthday. Come back soon!!!!

I must say I can cut a pieces of fabric in to hundreds of pieces and make it in to something that looks good. I can't however say the same about the boys hair. Last time I tried cutting them I thought I would just trim around the ears and shave the neck well this turned into shaves heads for both boys and so this time I took them to my hair stylist and she fixed them up real nice. Now why is it that they don't sit for me but they sat nice and still for her? Well some day I might give it a try again.
